FACILITY MANAGEMENT OF WATER TREATMENT AND WASTE DISPOSAL ASSETS
Investments in the water supply industry ebb and flow with the unpredictable trends of rainfall and water availability, whilst investment in sewerage and drainage is dictated by more predictable variables such as population growth. Both areas face significant challenges as the industry seeks to secure and deliver a sustainable water supply and provide effective waste management infrastructure for major population centres and industry.
Our team offers expertise across all areas of asset creation, optimisation and management, providing cost, time and outcome orientated solutions that support the successful delivery of water and waste management projects.
OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT OF WATER TREATMENT ASSETS
We operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment plants, whether or not we built them, to enable municipalities to optimise their production costs associated with water and wastewater treatment. This may cover:
- Production of drinking water
- Desalination
- Urban wastewater treatment
- Re-use of de-polluted urban wastewater
- Sludge recovery and treatment
- Odour management
PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS (“PPP”)
ASM has a good track record of working in successful long-term partnerships with Local Authorities to create sustainable, cost-effective services based on a strategy of minimisation, reuse, recycling and energy recovery.
From financing, planning and procurement to construction, implementation and management, we help to build and operate new facilities in line with the proximity principle to modernise waste management infrastructure in your community.
By working closely with local residents, our clients and other key stakeholders we have achieved a strong track record for engaging successfully with the local community in order to help facilitate the planning process and gain the go-ahead for badly needed facilities.
BUILD-OWN-OPERATE SERVICE CONTRACTS
ASM offers clients the opportunity of establishing a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) contract, taking responsibility for the design, supply and operation of the water treatment system on behalf of the client.
Typically based on quality and quantity guarantees, the BOO contracts offer long term arrangements whereby ASM owns and operate systems and provides treated water to local government on a cost-per-litre basis.
Due to the vast number of technologies and treatment solutions available, ASM investigates and supplies optimum technological and economical solutions. This ensures the lowest total treatment cost, maximum on-line operation and guaranteed treated water quality.
A BOO contract also allows clients to focus on their core business while still maintaining strategic control of their operations.
